After graduation, the enrollment and tuition fees will not be charged until students find a job.
Whether you want to acquire skills and become independent, change your career in the restaurant industry, or spread Japanese food overseas, we will help you realize your dreams.
Reskilling (relearning) of adults has become a hot topic in recent years to increase labor productivity in Japan. This trend is approaching the food and beverage industry as well. There is an urgent need to introduce teaching methods that can “reskill” in a short time, freeing people from the traditional “training” concept that takes a long time.
The “Japanese Restaurant Academy,” trains chefs in sushi, yakitori, ramen, soba, udon, and other representative Japanese foods. In a very short period of less than a month, trained chefs will be able to work immediately in the professional field after graduation.
However, some students have expressed interest in our school, but find it difficult to afford the tuition fee. Therefore, we have prepared an ISA (Income Share Agreement) in which the initial cost at the time of enrollment (enrollment fee and tuition) is paid after employment so that students can go to the school with peace of mind. Our school is ready to support your high aspirations to open your own business, advance your career, or spread Japanese food abroad in the future.
A pay-as-you-go contract reduces your financial risk!
ISA stands for Income Share Agreement, which directly translates to “income sharing agreement,” but a simple way to describe it is “career advancement agreement. It is a new contract model between educational institutions and students and has been actively introduced in recent years, especially in the United States, because of its lower financial risk compared to conventional educational loans.
Unlike a regular loan, an ISA does not obligate you to make payments until you are employed and earn above a certain amount. Therefore, you can ‘reskill’ without financial worries.
POINT1
You do not have to pay tuition (except for actual expenses) until you graduate and find a job. You can enroll in the program with a minimal financial burden.
POINT2
After graduation, no tuition is charged until you find a job. After employment, payment begins when your income exceeds a certain amount. The equivalent of 10% of your annual income divided by 12 will be paid monthly to the restaurant school until the amount reaches 1,000,000 yen (in the case of the sushi chef course).
*Please contact us for more information, including maximum amounts for other courses.
POINT3
ISAs are available regardless of educational background, current occupation, or previous experience in the food and beverage industry (subject to screening). We will also provide financial support to highly motivated individuals so that they can spread their wings in the food and beverage industry without having to ‘reskill’ or give up on their dreams for financial reasons.
After graduation and employment, you will pay a monthly payment equivalent to 10% of your annual income divided by 12.
Example: If you find a job with an annual income of 3 million yen
250,000 yen × 10%
(one-twelfth of annual income)
= 25,000 yen
(monthly payment)
The total amount will be lower than your normal payment, so you can reskill with the less financial burden.
*There is a separate selection process for ISAs. Please see below regarding selection requirements.”
“If you find a job after graduation but your annual income is less than 2.41 million yen, you will not be obligated to make payments (your payment obligation will be deferred). The payment will start after your annual income exceeds the minimum amount.
*The average starting wage for university graduates in the “accommodation and food service industry” must be higher than the average wage of “20.08 million yen (see: “Results of the Basic Survey on Wage Structure (Starting Wages) in 2048 “by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare).
*Please contact us with any questions or for more information.
ISA applicants will be screened separately.
If you meet the above requirements, you will be invited to proceed to a screening interview.
*Please contact us if you have any questions about screening requirements.
